Bally Sports is a regional sports network that focuses on local NBA, NHL, MLB, WNBA and NWSL teams for fans around the United States. They work closely with their league and team partners to bring their live games and content to over 60% of the country.

Originally launched in March 2021 exclusively for TV provider users, the first iteration of products were designed, built and maintained by an external vendor in Europe. I was brought in alongside the Head of Product, Head of DTC and Head of Engineering later that year to do what the company desperately needed——to own the IP of its own products.

Over the last 3 years, the design org worked with a wide variety of internal teams, senior stakeholders and vendors to bring user and business needs to life. We transformed the brand, built new product development processes, hired and staffed multiple design teams to tackle a wide variety of needs, established team culture and pillars, and found ways to support one another as we navigated a turbulent company environment.

It was a continuous symphony of complexity, with ever-changing priorities that required us to be lean and nimble. We found our rhythm by being in constant communication with each another, and by empowering one other to continually execute at the highest quality.
